Okay, it's been an extremely busy month with work, but let me get you caught up on October.
Desert Rage - Lake Hodges -take your pick... 1st Place Masters, 1st Place All Male 3 Person, 6th place overall!!! My best showing. I'd been fighting a stomach virus the week before, but Friday night, my gut came through and I did well during the race. "Did well" for me means no cramp attacks. It did help that it wasn't more than 90 degrees. We were supposed to go as a 4 person co-ed team, but Deb got some arthritis inflamation in the knee. She had to bail out the night before the race. Overall 14 miles bike about 8 in the kayak, and 5 to 7 miles on foot. I twas about a 30 mile race done in 7 hours. When I asked Jay (our new triathalete guy) what was harder, a triathalon or adventure race - he replied - Adventure race by far...
The next day, Sunday, the fires occured and Lake Hodges burned. So did the area close by my house, but we were okay. Enjoy the pictures.
